I’m Oliver Hay; an architecture student and freelance graphic designer based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I started venturing into the world of graphic design at school. Following an art project where I first came into contact with designing using computer software, I began putting together posters and logos for friend’s bands.  Slowly a portfolio of work emerged which started to attract a variety of clients and over the past few years I have had the chance to work with some great people.  Like most designers I use the Adobe Creative Cloud (predominately Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) to bring my graphic design to life.

Studying architecture has introduced me to 3D modelling and rendering tools such as Rhinoceros, the Autodesk suite and V-ray.  It has also started to influence my graphic design work a great deal.  The importance of clear representation when it comes to architecture can make or break a project; whether that be down to the project layout on a presentation board or a visualisation of the fully realised design.

I enjoy undertaking new challenges and fresh opportunities and always want to push my creative boundaries in any project; big or small. If you are interested in working with me or have any queries please get in touch.
